Your 20’s are your ‘selfish’ years. It’s a decade to immerse yourself in every single thing possible. Be selfish with your time, and all the aspects of you. Tinker with shit, travel, explore, love a lot, love a little, and never touch the ground.
From past me on March 24th, 2014 at 9 o’clock in the morning:
Welcome to your twenties. I hope the past five months have given you a fresh perspective on life. And if they haven’t, I hope you know this is just the beginning and there is still time to start over. Yes, your twenties are your selfish years. Set boundaries, say no when you mean it. Work toward your goals; you can do anything you put your mind to. If you don’t like something, change it. This is your life and if you are unhappy, do something about it. Yes, your twenties are your selfish years, but don’t forget to give. Don’t forget that it’s okay to say yes to people. Don’t forget that you get back what you put into this world and that people are the most important thing. Do your best, give your all, and love with everything you’ve got in you because at the end of the day that’s what counts. Work on becoming rather than obtaining. Remember that a ship in the harbor is safe, but that’s not what ships are built for.
Everything you want is on the other side of fear. Be fearless, kid.
Welcome to your twenties.
